selling privately

Hi I am looking for some advice regarding selling my property we would like to try selling it ourselves before enlisting an estate agent I am just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the process for people making offers etc do they simply make the offer through their solicitor to our solicitor and if this is the case will our solicitor charge any more for this than the basic fees for selling and buying

Any help would be much appreciated!

They surely wouldnt have a solicitor until the search time. I think they make offers direct to the vendor.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

    Hi

If someone makes an offer they will make it to you as you are the seller. If you are happy to accept the offer ask them to provide proof of funds ie a letter from mortgage broker of mortgage in principle.Without this they could be timewasters and you could lose out on a genuine offer.
When this has been done take their details and solicitors and pass on to your solicitor.

Good in theory, but in practice they won't have an AIP or broker if they are moving their existing mortgage.

More important to find out if their own home is under offer.
