The door makes up about 70% of the cost of the cupboard, it will not be cheap to do. If you can find someone in your area that supply PWS, kitchen doors these are one of the least expensive good quality manufactures out there.
Check the height of your doors, most manufacturers these days work on the following door heights, 720mm base door and medium wall unit doors, 900mm tall wall unit doors, and 570mm low wall units doors. There are others but they are the main standard sizes.

Not the case with B&Q. I've just bought carcasses that ranged in price from £27 to £66, but the doors only cost between £16 & £32. The more expensive doors were the ones needed to fit a corner base unit.
Agree re the sizes though. If these are fairly recent carcasses (that the OP has) then new doors should be readily available and relatively cheap. If it's a handmade kitchen or non-standard size carcasses, then the job could be more expensive.

Aha! Am I addressing Nanny Ogg or Magrat (who is now of course a Queen), in which case, if I were anyone other than Esme, I'd have to curtsy.;)

nice new doors could make your worktops look shabby.
you may find you need to replace both.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. Unfortunately this is where most full kitchen replacements begin, they go a bit like this.
My doors as looking shabby, lets replace them, 50% of full kitchen as per B&Q above, now they make my worktop look tired, extra £300 plus fitting, well I think the doors and worktop look great but my wall and floor tiles don't match anymore and there are some broken tiles and they look dated, lets change them, £500 to £2000 extra.
So what is left oh yeah the kitchen cupboards and the appliances, and you can bet your bottom dollar with all the moving around at least one of your appliances will go, and when you change the worktops you will think about changing the hob and sink at the same time rather than put the old ones back in.
This low budget approach so frequent starts with good intentions and ends up with a whole new kitchen. Sometimes it costs more to do it piece meal than to do it in one foul swoop.
Look at your existing kitchen before and after you go looking for a new one, I bet your bottom dollar you won't be happy with it when you see all the new styles and designs out there.I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -
If you want to do it on the cheap B&Q doors are super cheap but as already stated they are for the more common (modern) sizing system. one option is to go to your local timber yard and ask them to cut a sheet of 18mm MDF.
if you measure all of your doors (exactly) and give them the list (ie 5 doors @ xmm X xmm) they will do the lay out and cut them for you, depending on the type of hinge you have they are a sinch top fit and paint. But if you ask nicely in the timber yard there will be 100's of "experts" offering advice for you!

screwfix now do a number of sizes of replacement doors. i bought 14 different sized doors and 4 drawer fronts for less than 200 pounds - about a year ago, and was very happy with the result. i opted for plain white finish with no detailing, and spent another 50 pounds on some lovely long chrome handles from ikea. the only door size they didn't have for me was the small cupboard that goes above the extractor, but the fitters cut and sealed the one cut edge with white laminate tape stuff. one day i'll buy a whole new kitchen but i was happy with the layout, and the new doors made it look much better. the worksurface was good, and everything goes with white....
edit - can't find the white ones any more on their website, but they do these in beech http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/cat.jsp?cId=A326352&ts=736640 -
My sister bought wooden doors from B&Q. Painted them white and they look great. Also can paint over them in a different colour if she wants to.When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile0
