    Where has 2010 gone??

    Scary, isn't it?

This week I've got (starting from tonight as I've had to change my plan as the mushrooms which were meant to be in my veg box aren't ):

Thursday - pasta with green veg, bacon and pesto
Friday - courgette, bacon and cheese calzone
Saturday - lamb and squash curry with HM chappatis (which I've never made before, but they don't look complicated)

    Sunday - tuna pasta bake
    Monday - lamb hotpot
Tuesday - chicken kiev with root veg mash and baked beans (if the snow melts so I can get to the butcher to buy a kiev, anyway. If I can't, I'll have to think of something else.)
Wednesday - creamy root veg gratin
    Thursday - jambalaya

What treats has everyone else got this week, then? :)
Back after a very long break!

Couldn't agree more. 2010 seems to have absolutely flown by. Ah well, more new starts in the new year. :) Here's my mealplan for the week from Monday:

    Mon: Shepherd's Pie with veg
Tues: Toad in the Hole with beans
Weds: Not Sure Yet, poss. random stirfry
Thurs: Beef Stroganoff with Wild Rice
Fri: Sausage & stuffing pasties with HM wedges
Sat: HM Prawn Toasts, Spare Ribs & Special Fried Rice for a fakeout Chinese meal
Sun: Lasagne. I'm making 6 portions so there'll be some to freeze.

Lunches are sandwiches or leftovers, and there are flapjacks and seasonal mince pies for puds to have with a scoop of ice cream as a treat. We've got fruit and some creamed rice pots too. No more baking planned, but there'll be some batch assembly and cooking towards the end of the week to make some ready meals to freeze so Christmas week isn't stressful! Hope everyone has a good week.

Most of these are things that were on previous plans, but didn't happen for one reason or another...

Monday - chicken steak with savoury rice and vegetables of some description

Tuesday - falafel and salad in a wrap with chips

Wednesday - bacon, egg, sausage, beans, a potato cake and some tomatoes sounds good! (day off)

Thursday - chickpea, spinach and tomato curry with rice and a pitta bread

Friday - spicy vegetable crispbake with chips and beans (day off)

Saturday - stir fried vegetables with noodles and a spring roll (day off)

Sunday - toad in the hole with vegetables and onion gravy

Meals on my days off may change as I don't know what i'm doing yet. I have an extra day off this week as i'll be working new years day, so they give us our days in 'lieu' in advance.

I normally stick to my menu plans, but yesterday it was so cold, and so wet I didn't fancy pesto pasta and braved the shops to get mushrooms and liver and for the first time ever I made Sausage, Bacon, Onion and Liver with Mushrooms and slow cooked! YUMMY!

So this week my menu is:

Friday - Leftover Liver and Bacon
Saturday -Breakfast - Went to pot!
    ..............Lunch - Crumpets

..............Dinner - Cheesy Pasta with Hotdogs (Changed due to god daughter visiting!)

Sunday - Breakfast - HM Scotch Pancakes
.............Lunch - HM Flatbread with HM Caramalised Onion Hummus (using HM Onion Chutney)
.............Dinner - Pork Spare Rib Chops with Rice and Spring Greens

Monday - Leftover Spare Rib Chops
Tuesday - Tuna Surprise w/ Jacket Potatoes
    Wednesday - Portabello Mushroom Spaghetti
Thursday - Leftover Beef turned into Stovies
Friday - Pot Luck (Freezer Leftovers)

HM Twinks HobNobs for the boys, Scones and Rock Cakes for lunches!

I will make frozen Yogurt some point this week too! (Now made... YUMMY!)
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

Last week went to he11 in a hand cart with the weather. As we live in walking distance to work and there was lots of snow here in Leeds so lots of people unable to get into work which meant 12 hour shifts for me and OH. I also had my boss stay overnight with us as she couldn't get home.

    So next week!

Sat L - Misc OH going to the football (he says it WILL go ahead, evidently snow doesn't effect Leeds UTD like other clubs!)

Sat D - Misc what ever I can forage as he's out in town with the lads after the football. I have been invited, going to be a suck it and see, as its our works party friday night :rotfl:

    Mon D Asda curry

Tue D Slow cooker beef stew & dumplings

Wed D TPB (tuna pasta bake)

Thu D Pie, mash and veg

    Fri D Chicken noodles
