Do I still need to write a letter to claim PPI???

Hey Folks, just a quick question,
I am about to try and claim back PPI from GE Money. I have followed the steps on this website. I have filled out the questionaire so do I still need to write a letter? Or do I only have to write a letter when its a "follow up" letter? If I do need to send a letter along with my filled out questionaire, where is the template for this? As I can only find the "follow up" letter template?!
Thanks

Hi there
The reclaiming questionnaire replaced the template letter on this site, so there is no need for a letter as well, not unless of course you have more info/details to give you can write a letter, but best to in your own words (you can enclose the letter with the questionnaire), but its optional.
There is I believe a follow on letter though, such as if you don't hear anything by 8 weeks, but by the time 8 weeks have passed you able to make the complaint to the FOS then if you want to, or wait a little longer for a decision.
Good luck on your reclaiming.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Did GE actually sell it? a majority of their loans/mortgages were sold through brokers.0 -
I found it better to just send an accompanying letter explaining exactly why you are sending the forms and what they relate to.
Di, do you have a link for the follow on letter after the 8 weeks are up?Liam :money::beer:0 -
Try this link here, you can use this - but better if you could possibly word it your way if you know what I mean, good luck and sorry for not getting back earlier, been having come connection issues today.
