AAARGH LED Xmas Tree Lights, some bulbs not working

my led xmas lights are faulty, i have many not working and from what i have read its a case of if 1 bulb goes it takes out the rest of the bulbs in that series, well i cant replace these bulbs easily, they are not in bulb holders they are soldered onto the wiring and then covered in a plastic sleeve so i am unable to test for a faulty bulb.
any suggestions on how to fix these?
pics below, one is of a bulb with the plastic sleeve cut off.
should i buy new lights or can i fix these?
