Sky + to pc hard drive.

Is this possible, if so how.

I could then download the programmes to dvd:confused:

    You cannot go directly from the Sky+ HD to your computer as the information on the sky HD is still encrypted.

    You can get video capture cards to put in your PC and then hook it up with the s.video cable, play the tv show on your sky box and then record it to your PC. Will take a fair amount of time (obviously the length of the show plus some extra for encoding) and unless you buy a decent card it will be fairly poor quality.

    Why not get a DVD recorder and connect to the VCR output on the Sky+ box "et voila". You may find that some recorded items are encrypted(such as Box Office events) but the majority will record fine.

    I can vouch for this. I can play Sky+ and record on my DVD recorder (or even record direct as the progs are recorded on Sky+) and then play the DVDs (finalised) on my PC. Using relevant software it's then possible to capture clips etc etc
