increasing pressure gauge

So the pressure gauge on my boiler is almost below the green section. I have removed the cover but only see one black lever and one red knob (not a lever/handle) I'm not sure what I should be doing. In my last place it was simple.

If you post the make and model, someone will be able to help.
The filling loop usually has a couple of valves to turn.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

thats the thing I can only see 1 valve/lever

    It's Valliant Ecomax 835
  • Found this via google - it might be of some help.

Standing in front of the boiler, right hand side, underneath at the front. 2 very small black isolating taps either end of approx 6mm pipe. You will have to look up to see them.

You will have to remove plastic decorative cover under boiler first if fitted.

    Turn both of them

Then turn both fully off again.

Fill to about 1.2 bar cold.

Maybe silly question, but are you trying to turn them the right way?

I've got the ecomax 828 and I fill mine by turning back and upwards the little black lever found at the front right, it can be stiff if not used for a long time but if you can push it back you will hear and see the pressure gauge go up, that is the only one you should need well it is on my system and looking at the manual for the 800 series they all look the same.
