I located the original thread titled "Hip-save trying it on ???"
Please ignore this thread, thanks
I've now received another email (see text below) since I did not respond to the one sent last week that demanded I pay £16 for partial delivery of the hip.
Do I need to take any action ? Will be harassed by the collection agency ?
Many thanks
Chris
Dear Customer
Further to our initial email dated 15th November 2010, no payment has been received for the documents that were provided to you in relation to the HIP you ordered through HIP-save.co.uk
To confirm, the company ceased trading in the early part of 2010 and we are now finalising the finances for the company.
The website remains active for customers to access their records, and you are still able to do so by clicking on the 'Track my HIP' option, and logging in using your email address and the postcode of the property as the password.
We have been made aware that the full cost of your HIP was claimed back by you, via our card merchant Nochex. Our understanding is that your claim did not explain that documents had been provided to you.
As payment has not been received within our prescribed timescale, your account has been passed on for collection.
If you would like to stop formal action commencing which will involve further immediate costs being added, please confirm your intention to pay with a reply email, by Friday 3rd December, and payment must be received by Tuesday 7th December.
Payment must be made by cheque, payable to 'Hipserve' and sent to 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3XX.
If you have sent payment within the last few days, please confirm this by email to avoid any confusion.
Regards

Can't be bothered searching for/ reading the history of this - either provide it or use the original thread.

Is £16 worth the risk?
If opinions on here said ignore it, and then you got a default on your credit record, perhaps preventing a re-mortgage, how silly would you feel?Act in haste, repent at leisure.
