Will the site developers be looking the latest offering from Google for a decent search facility for this site?

Google's just the latest to do this - though there new offering does look like it has more featues.
There's also Swicki, Rollyo, and Yahoo Search Builder
I previously made one just to test it out with Rollyo:

The problem is that they rely on Google's (or in Rollyo's case Yahoo's) last crawl of the site so it's not up-to-date
