Alnwick Castle and Gardens are very kindly offering a free Christmas Tree to the lucky winner, plus free entry to Santa’s Secret Woodland for the whole family. After you’ve chosen your favourite tree from the wide selection and enjoyed a complimentary glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate you can discover a magical hideaway amongst trees and twinkling lights where Santa Claus will be waiting to hear children’s wishes. There’ll also be music and stalls offering gifts and festive treats and you can look over it all from the Treehouse’s elevated walkways which twinkle with lights. Competition closes 8th December

Never put tables and chairs in the same room.
If they congregate together for any length of time, they will inevitably hatch plots against you and your pets.
