Choosing supplier for first home

Hi

Is there a comparison site or service that simply shows the cheapest tariffs around between all suppliers without having to enter usage history, that will help us decide what supplier to start with in a new home.

We are moving into a new home and are first timer buyers so have no idea yet what our usage will be or what supplier to start off with.

All we know is the previous owners supplier was British Gas.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

You will be on a deemed contract with the previous supplier, i.e. British Gas.
The national average is supposed to be something like 3300kwh for Electric and 23,000 for gas.
Varies so much, if a flat facing south and surrounded by old people on Winter Fuel Allowance could be half that. If detached 4 bed ever so much.
You will need to advise BG about moving in so you could ask for an estimate then.
Take all readings (including water) on the contract day.
p.s. Not sure how cashback works in your circumstances but worth quite a bit these days, e.g. EDF via Quidco £100+£80
