Morning All
I made it into work today, picked up some work and came back home again.
Roads were very slippery, but most people were being sensible and driving at a low speed.
Saw one car struggling to get up a hill and people were helping to push it - I love it when people help each other out like that.
Hope you are all staying warm....

Morning tenmah
Its another snow day for the schools again today. Didnt find out until this morning that the school was closed and we were already up and dressed. My husband says the roads are bad although they have been gritted. My friends husband grits the roads and she says they are working round the clock doing 12 hrs shifts and working in freezing tempretures and are also having to put up with angry motorists and its really not there fault. So everyone spare a thought for these poor people if you can. I know one thing, i feel sorry for the people living on the streets at the moment, it must be a nightmare.0 -
Hi Littlesue
That is exactly what I was saying to my daughter last night - what do homeless people do in this weather. I know there are night shelters (I used to volunteer at one) but they get full up quite quickly, and they also have to leave in the morning, so have to find somewhere else to spend the day. It must be terrible for them.OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Tenmah we moved earlier this year to a bigger house, which we needed with 3 growing children but i always got on with my neighbours all which i count as good friends. One nieghbour we always have to stay on xmas eve as her son has a large family and there's no room for her so sleep there and i hate the thought of her on her own. She was going to come over the other day but i told her not to as the weather was bad and she's going to hospital next week for a hip replacment and i didnt want her falling over and hurting herself. She was quite angry with me when i said we were moving saying i was disloyal and that really upset me but i made the move for my family and they have to come first. Something good has come out of it though, her son does a lot more for her now and so does his wife which is how it should be and i ring her all the time and pop in when i can. Never realised how much you can be taken for granted0

Morning Tenmah and Littlesue,
We've got snow here too, yah! :j:j But it's now stopped. Boo hoo!
Driving to work this morning was fun not, I encountered lots of snow drifts. But my main question is why do people want to drive like idiots in this weather?
I'm a tad sleepy as I had insominia last night., which means no doubt I'll have problems sleeping for the next few nights.
Haven't heard from Claire for a while, I hope she's ok and not gone stir crazy?
Lots of love,

Just been outside Elfen for some fresh air and it certainly is trying to snow again here. I wonder if we'll be allowed to go home early? [Insert confused smile!]
Goes off to look at Elfens pics.

LMC, I agree about idiots on the roads, I couldn't believe it yesterday how stupid some people were being.
Today's plan is curl up on the sofa and read.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Hi All - we have finally had some snow to talk about - woke this morning to about 6" - cat not too impressed. Managed to get to work, but hopefully leaving early as the roads are not clever. Keep safe and keep warm. Billie xx:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0

Still no snow here. The area of no-snow must be getting smaller if LMC has had some.0
