Shares with Perks?

I am considering some small investments into the stock market to use up my ISA allowance. Does anyone have any details on stocks that offer decent perks to shareholders. Whilst it would be very unwise to base a decision solely on the perks it would be handy to add this info into the equation.

    A couple of things.

For shareholder perks you could look at:

Also, why if it going to be a small investment bother with wrapping it up in an ISA. Most (if not all) share based ISA's will make annual / quarterly admin charges. You only need to worry about investments outside of ISA / PEP wrappers when you actually dispose of the investment(s), and only if you are likely to exceed you annual gains limit. There are always ways around this particular problem, i.e. sell them in different tax years, gift some to your partner for them to sell, etc, etc.

Again, I wouldn't get bogged down in the ISA aspect. I've got ISA investmetns but they are fund under the FundsNetwork and CoFunds umberella, and I (Mrs cloud_dog) has a standard share dealing account with ComDirect.

Buy shares for their perks can be a good decision but as you mention it is not the only consideration. An ex-work collegue used to go on cruises for holidays so bought the minimum holding in P&O in order for him to get a %age discount off holidays - fincancial it worked out well.

I'm interested in the link and was going to purchase some shares so if we can both earn out of it that's fine by me.
