  • I have officially lost count of how much money is in my pot! I came back from holiday and just emptied the contents of my purse into it without counting.

£1.05 joined it on Friday night, am now itching for December so I can open it and count!
    Thank you competition posters!

forgot to post my potting last night. A very healthy £1.05 popped in the pot last night after going out for the day with hubby and the kids for Hubbys birthday. HAd a lovely money saving day :D got over £3 worth of food from asda and paid 11p (had a £3 'sorry wewere rubbish' voucher) took hubby for a Starbucks coffee and had a another 'sorry we were rubbish' voucher so he got his large cappuchino for nowt :D then went to my mums for a barbeque for hubbys birthday dinner and supplied the burgers and a trifle for £7 so on the whole a really cheap day :D
Also my lovely great aunt rang my mother last week and said she was worried about me (hasnt seen me in over 10 years!!) and sent me a get well soon card with £30 to get some stuff for my jewellery making. Bless her :A so thats where my £1.05 change came from :o

Managed 80p yesterday (the change from a couple of ice cream cones!) and 47p today. I've also started a voluntary £1 coin collection to go towards the sealed jar (I'll need to make sure I don't go overboard as I forget that £1 coins quickly mount up) and there's £4 in there already.

£5.27 in two days - the weird thing is I only actually spent about £5 this weekend, no idea where all the change comes from :D

My Pontin’s snooker holiday in May is 3 weeks away I normally go to 2 Snooker events May & September I started saving at the end of last September.Any spare coins I had at the end of the day went into the Jar
After seeing this thread, I thought I would give it a try! Because I struggled a little for cash in September, I had enough but only just.
Well I have had a count today and money saved since October 2010 = £696.00 amazing! So cost of the holiday including my petrol = £150 leaving me £546.00 spending money which of course I wont be spending all that lol,
In fact it will cover my holiday in September, so the coins certainly mount up I highly recommend this method of saving which I will continue to do.
Low Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

Since first using Martins I have saved thousands

37p in the pot today, 1p of which was found in a basket full of screws?!?!? WHY we have basket of random screws is known only to the husband, who assures me he knows exactly what they are for . . . only thing that worries me is that we dont seem to own anything that has screws missing . . .
