Hi all
2 x £2 coins in the pot for me today, have to say I am feeling mighty smug, as that is a lot for me
Ohhhh the temptation is so strong to open the pot..... but.... I won't!! (trying hard to convince myself).
Just found 2 x 1p's stuck in the washer! gone into pot now, also 5p on floor in kitchen, it all helps!
Have a great evening everyone

ended up in hospital on friday night, being dragged from the bed at 2am to have a chest xray and then unceremoniously told I could go home at 3am .Am very glad mothers day is over, it is my most hated day of the year followed closely by my birthday. I am very jealous of your wife nu1isit? I didnt even get 'happy mothers day' from my lot
You can have a cheeky one from me then jakes-mum. Happy Mothers Day
. You can have one of these too :grouphug:. It's not as rude as it looks...ssshh I know you were all thinking it anyway! Some people ***rolls his eyes to the sky*** If it's any consolation my mam hasn't had a Valentines card etc. since we were little, she's not bothered though, he's cheeky and winds her up - but we know he thinks she's the best thing since sliced bread. He's told us
:rotfl::D.
Anyway, didn't you get the flake from the hubby a few days ago...How many ladies can say that! :rotfl:
Right, another pound for the pot today. thank you for the cuddle, it was much neededAhh i know its me being silly, im one of those who sees mothers day as a day you show your mum(s) how much they mean to you and how much you appreciate them so always make sure both mums get a card and flowers (im the same about fathers day and make sure both mine wake hubby up with their gifts and say happy fathers day) so every year I get upset when hubby sleeps in, and i get to come downstairs to a bomb site (this year it was 3 yr old having crayoned all over my hallway and 9 yr old had spilt milk over the carpet and just left it there ) and all the night befores dishes on the sides. You would have thought by now i'd have given up hoping for a cup of tea in bed and a 'happy mothers day' with a kiss from my kids, but each year it sneeks in. Exactly the same on my birthday so I dread these days, mothers day is worse as everyone always says 'oo what did you get, bet you were spoilt . . . ' its even constant on the radio

been neglecting my tin these last few days, ended up in hospital on friday night, being dragged from the bed at 2am to have a chest xray and then unceremoniously told I could go home at 3am . I only went to the doctors for some stronger pain killers as it was hurting to breathe. Doctor took one look at me and said 'well if you've actually come in to see me it must be really bad so your going in' (me gets the feeling I dont go to the doctors very often
) Still in pain at times but dont dare go back to docs incase she sends me back in again .
Am very glad mothers day is over, it is my most hated day of the year followed closely by my birthday. I am very jealous of your wife nu1isit? I didnt even get 'happy mothers day' from my lot

40p in the pot for me last night, won't be much more 'til the weekend. I find that I end up with very little loose change until the end of the week (I'm of on Fridays and tend to go to a few different shops for groceries).
That said, I get to practice a little role reversal as I tend to empty my OHs change out at the end of the week as well (with her blessing)
Think I might need to start sticking my £2 coins in there as well (currently saving everything below £1), but I worry that would deprive me of the fun of sticking them in the robot savings bank that says 'THANKS FOR YOUR SAVINGS' every time I use it0 -

Hello All,
I am new to this forum but have been looking at it for a long time.
I'm looking to save around £3000 in the next few years.
£1000 to pay off a credit card i stupidly got and £2000 to clear my overdraft.
I have a sealed pot on the go and hoping that this will collect about £500 by december.
Any other saving tips would be greatly appreciated.
HannahDEBT CLEARED IN 2011= £2400
DEBT LEFT TO CLEAR =£500
I'm getting there...
