  • Hey people!

This horrible wind has killed my garden fence. We have made do & mended it for 3 or 4 years, but now it really is an ex, deceased, no more fence. Luckily, we have been preparing ourselves for this inevitable day & have been putting a bit aside when we can, so we have decided to take the painful step of getting the professionals in. Each time we bodge it up ourselves I worry whenever the high winds arrive that it could go over & hit my dog or the little boy next door. I simply couldn't live with that, so we are now expecting a call with the price. I am bracing myself with an Irish coffee.

On a happier note, I have tried on a top today which I bought some time ago to "slim in to" (story of my life) & its actually looser! Its still tight, but not as tight! I was so pleased I nearly cried. All my pavement pounding must be beginning to pay off.

£7.76 into my pot today; this was change from groceries this morning and a bit my mum insisted she owed me for a couple of bits I got for her in the week.

I have not had time to catch up on all the postings, but see there are some pics of somebody's pot & some curious images of what look like hair curlers? Interesting. Will try to catch up over the weekend.

The haystack over the road has fallen down & is now minus its plastic covering. Its still really gusty here, so stay safe everyone.

21p road change for me this morning LC2's stomping ground at Mr. M's in Speke, also got £2 coin in my change, so thats going into the Summer 2011 pot when I get home later. Plus my usual £2 and extra change into the sealed pot. It's absolutely persisting down outside still.

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday everyone, take care and keep saving

  • Evening All,

Just a quick catch up tonight, am so chuffed - found a penny this morning when I went for the papers, and I found a POUND at the trolley park in Asda! That's gone in the pot, and I am intending to try and get at least one pound in for every day of February, and if I manage that next month I will make it two. Have got lots of extra work on just now so hoping I can save a good bit of the extra money, and maybe buy something nice for someone at Christmas. That's if I can stop myself from dipping in to the money pot!

Keep up the good work everyone, it's great to see such enthusiastic people here

    hey everyone.
Finally got a £2 coin in my change from Asda today!! They seem to be scarce. Into the pot it goes with a 50p coin too. Can't help saving now I'm hooked. But am sooooo skint at the moment it's unbelievable. Hope we win the lottery tonight!
Hope everyone is ok. Am hating this wind and the destruction it's causing!

    Hello everyone :D...
A fabulous 48p for the pot tonight...No roadkill found for ages :(, I think it's all hiding in urban cammo, lurking at the side of the roads and pavements, of my lovely home town :rotfl:.
Anyway, I was trying to use all found or 'at hand' materials to make the pot - this is why some of the 'framework' looks a little rough :D:p:D.
Time for the next instalment - cue the music....

Hope you've all had a good day rounding up the roadkill :j:beer::j.
