  • Hi Guys!

It is my partner's 25th bday on boxing day and I would like to get him a Nintendo DS Lite (he wants a white one!) but am unsure about the best/cheapest place to buy it- have seen it in places like Game for £99.99 and there is ofcourse always ebay but I want to avoid that route as it is only pitence cheaper. I always joke its a shame his bday isnt a day or 2 later then I could get his pressy in the sales!

He has also been talking about a cartridge type thing that goes where the game is meant to (sorry for the appauling description!) and allows you to download all the games from the internet?! Apparently someone he knows has one and you have to buy it online from Sweden or somewhere and it's about £30 and is amazing!?!

I am sorry this is all a bit vague at the moment- I am just trying to pick up on things he is saying without it seeming all too obvious. I have just had my bday and it was brilliant so I want to make sure I get him something for him personally, not just something a bit rubbish!

Lastly, do you think I am best buying it now and putting it away, or buying it nearer to Christmas or even trying to sneak out on his bday and get one? (I could say I was picking something up but then run the risk of them not having one or alternatively being sqaushed in the sales crush!)

Any help/advise/links would be much appreciated!
    Thanks in advance

Also, does anyone know anything about this game cartridge thing that allows you to download all the games off of the internet? His mate has one so if worse comes to worse I have to try and contact him secretly, but was just wondering if I could find anymore info on it- has anyone heard of these before?

Think this is what you mean - nintendo do browser lite:
The Opera browser for Nintendo DS is based on the same core as the Opera desktop browser, delivering superior speed and rendering of web pages on the Nintendo DS. Using the DS card, users can connect the internet with the WiFi-enabled Nintendo DS via a HotSpot or wireless router, and begin browsing absolutely free.

I have also been looking for one and decided to go through Boots (the black one is finally back in stock). £99.99 but with triple points until tomorrow, a code for 1000 points for a spend over £75 and Quidco cashback of 6.5% it brings the price down nicely. :T

Tescos Direct have it for £96.97 with triple points and Quidco cashback of 3%but I prefer the Boots deal. It really depends whether you want the points or a lower price.
