New flat - shd I stick with NPower Duel Fuel?
Hi,
I am in a (relatively) new rented flat and the previous tenant was on NPower Duel Fuel. As I have no bills it's impossible to use the USwitch etc tools to assess if I'd be better off with a new supplier (correct me if I'm wrong!).
I have gas central heating, and it's a 1-bed flat. With 12ft ceilings, aarrgh! I work from home and have the heating on all day. Not cheap, me suspects...
I got the newsletter today urging us all to switch and am feeling angsty - should I switch? And if so to whom!!!
Many thanks,
Sarita

well i went with EDF , seem to be the cheapest for me, and maybe - turn your heating on a timer? 6am till 9am , then 4,30pm till 10pm? will be cheaper and the flat warm when you are there0

Have you already registered with the existing supplier with whom you are in a deemed contract with from day one? You can't switch until you have started an account with the existing supplier.
Just use the average consumption levels rather than actual. I use energyhelpline, but I imagine uswitch has a similar facility. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hi Sarita - When you moved in n'power logged you as a 'new' account, and as such they put you onto an expensive 'Standard' tariff, so it's important that you either Switch or move onto a better n'power tariff as soon as possible
As you won't have bill records to hit the Switch sites, phone n'power and ask what the consumption figures were for the last tenant - They don't have to tell you these, but a 'soft' approach on the basis of you want to pay the bills and and are worried about debt, will probably persuade them.

Hi Sarita,
It is possible to compare on uSwitch without a bill - when we ask for your postcode, we also ask 'Just moved house or getting ready to move?' - tick 'yes', and we'll take you through a special comparison designed for people who've just moved house and who don't have a bill handy.
Hope this helps.
