Postal, Text and Phone Competitions - Part 11

dont often post (as being a none designated magazine person i dont like to fill up the boards with pointlessness) but i (as a self confessed newbie even though i've been around here for a while) totally appreciate the contributions of all the "regular" posters - if it wasn;t for the organisation and time you lot put in us noobs wouldn't have anywhere to go in our spare hour after work or uni to grab a few last minute competitions to enter. I understand all this unpleasentness has gone on in a different board and as i only inhabit this one (somewhat of a hermit really) only know a little but would like to say that some newbies can and will be morons (meant with love obviously) and my whole comping ablity would fall apart without you regular peeps so thanks to all of you allocated magazine contributers, complete with you terms and conditions - we love you all xxxx now i shall creep back into my lurky corner and keep quier like a good newbie (and also be happy about it!!!!) xxx happy new year and blue, while some people have nothing better to do than lurk, others have nothing better to do than niggle at people but the best people of all are the ones who have nothing better to do than post competitions on here and facilitate lurkers xxx

Having been in contact with Blue, I fully understand her reasons for leaving MSE for a while.

I would like to publicly say. We will miss you hunny.

Take real good care of yourself and when you come back we'll put the banners and the flags out and welcome you back with open arms

I'd like to add my thanks to others Blue, and also my thanks to all regular posters - our unsung heroes in my opinion.

I'm sorry that someone has been allowed to be so arrogant as to make you feel bad. I too am one of the silent majority who mutter thanks under their breath as they sit at the screen with their coffee scribbling and entering. And trying to repay when I find something not allocated or already found.

I feel rather sad that a tiny majority of the membership has the power to make you feel so awful - never venturing far I missed the altercation I'm afraid - and I truly hope that you manage to come back to us shortly and a break gives you the perspective that they really don't matter a damn and manymanymany more people value your membership, your contributions, your time, and your effort.

I won £50 last year because of you - the win that gave me the most pleasure if I'm honest. And many others would say the same I'm sure.

Thanks ppd! Received a letter this morning (which was dated 23rd December! :eek:) telling me I've won a FIFA 11 PS3 game in the mop-up Daily Mirror/Littlewoods draw.

I'm more of a popper in than a lurker as I've not had time to comp this last year (it's on the resolutions list for this year ) but to Blue and all the others ........

This sounds awfully familiar -the same issue used to raise its head on URC in user groups in the days before forums really got used. Mostly the people who turn up, declare they know how to run things far better than the way it is already run and generally cause upset and ruffle feathers disappear again fairly quickly-Really don't take it personally- Listen to the appreciaters of which there are many and ignore those who think they are so smart and barge in without feeling things out for how it works first (I can only assume they are the same people who barge into conversations in real life uninvited too -Not classy)

it was bought up in comps disc before christmas about trying to sort something out regarding a reg thread or something for the reg mags as in the puzzler thread/tab monthlys/postals but nothing else has been said since so maybe it's about time that it could be sorted out

i think i was part of the problem the other night and would just like to apologise to anyone that i upset, or thought i was being disrespectful ... i do think it would be beneficial to make the rules a little clearer for us (troublesome) newbies lol :rotfl:
