are you doing all the sunday mirror comps then? if you look at the first post on this thread then you will see who is doing what as this thread isnt a free for all like the main board is, just so you know, if you want to do your bit then please use the pm button to ask as its more polite, thanks

and while im here can i also remind people to keep chat to a min on this thread, a few chat posts is fine but lets keep it to that please as its me that gets the stick via pm's from other members as a lot only enter the comps on here

remember the advent comp goes on every day until the 23rd, just dont want loads and loads of chat posts every day til then as it clogs up the thread and people find it hard finding the actual comp posts, thanks

Sorry for helping, It was 11am when I posted it, I didnt think anyone was going to put it on so I walked to the shop paid for the paper and spent the time to write it all out. Also, just to you know, You can not tell people they can not post in here just because you made the thread. I understand what you are saying about making it easy for people to find the comps but you can not stop people from posting.

    Wins since joining:

1: xbox 4gb console, kinect and sports and dance central games & 12 months xbox live gold membership.

Thanks for posting jon1000 and thanks for trying to help us out. As ppd has said, the postals thread tends to work a bit differently than the rest of Competitions Time, with certain people volunteering to post all the competitions from a particular publication. You can find a list on the first page of this thread. This thread is great, it's a fab wee community of its own. However, the "don't bump unnecessarily" rule of thumb from the whole board still applies here and I, for one, don't really like to have to work through 2 pages of chat just to get to the competitions. I've had some great wins from this thread too and I wanted to contribute (which I always did by hitting the Thanks button) so I waited until a new magazine came along or someone requested someone to take over for them and I volunteered to do my bit. This happens fairly often, even if it is only covering for someone while they're on holiday. I hope you have many future wins.
Love all, trust a few. Do wrong to none.

An eye for an eye only leads to more blindness.

    Mirror Comp for Sunday 5/12

Today the mirror are giving away 2 TV/Blu-ray packages and 15 runner up prizes.

It's not an instant today

  • im confused! is the sm smhomes comp posted by jon the one that has been instant win all week and part of the daily advent giveaway then or it it the regular comp that is in the sm every sunday? actually wait..its a different paper entirely isnt it? the instant win one has been daily mail all week?

jon i think you have taken ppd a little wrongly! her asking people to not chat was aimed at the whole thread.....and whoever is down to do the sunday mirror comps in the op will quite likley have taken out a subscription to ensure they get the paper every week and will post all the comps in it, not just one. thank you for the effort you took today and please do watch out for someone needing a mag covered or wanting to hand over so you can do your share, you will be more than welcome.

and i for one want to say thank you to ppd for that, id rather people only bumped about the instant win text comps if they either win or get told there are no prizes left, and id rather all the congratualtions posts were saved for when you are either posting in here anyway or went in iwon. its nice to see people post to say what they won, but 5 or 6 replies then saying pretty much nothing but well done, while well meaning and nice, are irksome when im trying to find the comps i want to enter. sorry if im being a misery guts, im not intending to be mean or picking on anyone or having a go so please dont anyone take me as doing so.
