Can anyone suggest a good computer art package for kids??
My son is 10 years old and he spends HOURS and HOURS drawning pictures with 'Paint' the free program that comes with Windows.
We are buying im a PC for Christmas/Birthday for his bedroom (selfishly so he can do homework upstairs when he goes to senior school haha)
But I was thinking of buying a little art/drawing package to go with it?? The only one I can think of is Photoshop but I think that might be overkill and a bit compilicated for his needs not to mention more than i really want to spend.
I'm sure there has to be something out there suitable for his age group??
Idea's?

I usually look at this site for ideas/recommendation for all types of software.

I reckon Artrage is the best one

Depending how much you want to spend there are versions fron $20 upwards - or have a look at Wacom Bamboo graphics tablets. They start at just over £40 if you shop around and usually come with Artrage - and other software - included in the price.0 -
just use photoshop start them young
he will figure it out kids learn fast then he will be an immense computer artist and earn loads of money
kids learn most when they are younger so why hide them from the package that will be mostly used when he goes to college etc
get him on the case of photoshop it may look complicated to you but he will pick it up fast
you can do pretty good things in paint if your artistic
