Perhaps I missed it and you've already said you don't give your cats milk; but I think Buttonmoons is spot on - milk is the common culprit.
I gave my cats a saucer of milk for years; and perhaps they only got diarrhea if they over-indulged (one cat drinking for five).
I know some cats are more sensitive.
When I realised this, I started buying special milk for cats - just as a treat. When I told my vet she said "Why?" and "Stop it!"

I hope things improve for you very soon - Happy New Year!0 -
I do not give my cats milk but thanks ...
Paddypaws- brilliant boxes, honest.. just ned to work out where the nearesat Sainsbury is, hope I do not have to travel as far as your way?
Only have Tesco near by ... Morrisons in Stratford and Asda in Beckton....
Got to sign on this Friday so will use the bus anyway, may as well use it more and get the boxes

Just wondering - what is offal?
Also, does anyone know feeding guide for http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/dry_cat_food/taste_of_the_wild/178009?
The only one I could find measures in.... sups. No use trying to calculate the cost, need a feeding guide in grams

EDIT - Emailed them asking for a feeding guide in gramms rather then cups... what a crazy idea to give a guide in cups, isn't it? Eceryone will use a different cup
BOzita and Animoda are quite expensive though...hmmmmm0 -
Regarding litter trays - teachers tend to buy a lot of them for putting books and stuff in to go out on kids tables (unused ones obviously - but they're massively cheaper than paying out for the proper educational supplier ones) and they mostly swear by Wilkinsons to get them in. I can't personally vouch for that one since they closed our local one down and hubby's nicked me car - but may be worth a looksie in their pet section if they're near.
I get quite a lot of things like flea collars (ok, it's not normally a problem but the primadonna loves getting new collars and strutts around showing one off when its changed) from Poundland as well although as is normal with that place - pickings vary. B+M might be worth a look as well - I haven't been in with a view to pet stuff but they tend to have random things in... or Poundstetcher for a biiig stackerbox to use as litter tray (would something designed for going under a bed to store things in not work?).Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Offal is basically the innards and the bits most people avoid like the plague - liver, kidney, heart, tripe, (lights and brains until they were banned after BSE.)
Wasted on the cats I know, but my nan used to make a really nice stuffed heart, although watching her clean it out and give a biology lesson at the same time was a tad offputting.
Edit - re the cup, it's a set measure by volume. Have a look at this link - it gives the gram equivalent towards the bottom of the page.

Alternatively, my measuring set says a cup is 235ml so if you have a jug with ml you can put the amount of dog food in up to that level, then weigh it out to see how many grams. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I know you're busy - and I'm so chuffed that I am now allowed to post links!0 -
Re the litter tray...they also had a ' Basic' black storage box for £1 in sainsburys, you would need to cut out the step which the recycling box already has. I spent a good 15 minutes weighing up the pros and cons, but did not fancy getting busy with a stanley knife at home so paid the extra.:o0

Reminds me when my mother actually cut a curve in a kitchen worktop with a hand saw........shall I call her over? LOL
********
Good they listened, the gramms measurement was not there in the morning but I have emailed them so perhaps....
Measuring in a jug and then onto a scale is no good as various foods will have different weight for the same amount of food - if it makes sense?
For example, when I used to feed Zara Burns, a cup of Bunrs was completely different weight than a cup of Orijen, Orijen was much heavier....
Will have a look at that cat food now and do my calculations0 -
Seems like they listened as the website now says 1 cup = 100 grams.
Hmmm. where? can not see it on the website...
EDIT - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Zooplus website, yeas I see it there now, I was looking at the manufacturer website...
Ok so I have 4 cats, they are all between 2 and 3 kg each now (it is fun to put them on the kitchen scale and see how they put on weight LOL) and are about 5 months so....around 2/3 caups each times 4 = 8/3 cups, lets make it 3 cups per day between them so at 100g per cup it is 300gram per day so 6.8kg bag should last 23 days (+/-). At £27 per bag it works out about £1.17 per day for the 4 of them.
Need to look up how did the Origen work out as forgotten already.. had it somewhere here... LOL
EDIT2 - found it, Orijen worked out at about £1.37 per day for the 4 of them.... so 20p per day difference, £6 per month... That £6 will buy a few good quality tinns I think?
I give them just half a tin per day to share between the 4 of them....hmmmm0
