RBS to Santander, don't want to go

Hi, just popped over from the DFW board I wonder if anyone can advise me please. I'm currently on a DMP which is running very smoothly at the moment, and part of this is an oustanding loan and o/d with RBS. I've been with RBS for 28 years and, whilst I understand that there is no such thing as loyalty, they have been very good with me and accepted my plan and frozen interest and charges :T. The only thing is my account is one of those being sold to Santander and after reading all the horror stories of bad service, errors on accounts etc I am very loathe to transfer my account if I can help it. Does anyone know if I am able to stop my accounts being transferred and if they are trans to Santander how are they likely to act re-my DMP:(
Many thanks

You could ask for your account to be transfered to a scottish branch.
This process can be started by calling 0800 210 0214 and asking for a form to be sent to you.
As your on DMP they may not allow you to transfer however its worth asking.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Thanks Stclair, I had read about transferring to a Scottish branch, which I have no problem with, but just don't know if I'll be able to with being on a DMP? Neither account is in arrears or over limit and I making all requested payments, think I'll have to give them a ring and see what they say. Does anyone know how Santander treat people on DMP's are they quite approachable or would I be back to square one?0

I remember one poster on here where they ignored the DMP and insisted on full payments. But not sure if it was ever resolved nor if it was company policy or just their usual incompetence.
As you say it's worth while trying the change branch route.Santander are awful - mission in life is to warn people since 17-Sep-10, 18-Sep-10 realised one of thousands.0
