Scottish power
hi ..iam a new customer for scottish power and am about to compete my first month with this connection. i hear some people saying that scottish power charge double rates for night usage. although i know about the charges by the scpttish power i would like to know if any scheme is like that. could anyone clarify my doubts plz..

Hi itzmeraaz - Be aware that as a 'New' customer Scot. P would log you as a new account and put you onto an expensive 'Standard' tariff

Why would they do that? If you are on E7 then off peak is cheaper, and peak is more expensive. If non E7, it's the same.
If you say what tariff you are on it would help.No free lunch, and no free laptop

That is definately not the case and like macman has said, if you are on a 2-rate tariff, i.e. Economy 7, your night rate will be far less than your day rate (normally around half the day rate).
If you are online why not set up an online account with ScottishPower? That way you can update meter readings and generate bills as often as you wish. This will help you monitor your consumption and confirm to you exactly what you are using. Check out the link below for more details:
