I was wondering in the terms of costs what is cheaper to run over a 1 hour period .Turning on the gas fire or turning on the central heating ?
Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £36,632.39

The only person who can answer this question 100% is yourself....Take a meter reading then run the gas fire for an hour take another reading...switch fire off and CH on after an hour take anoyher reading....all done in two hours0

If its a decorative gas fire then most of the heat goes up the flue.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Interested to know the results, I would take a pure guess the gas fire is cheaper as its not heating the whole house, but don't really know as it could well be less efficient than central heating.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0
