Back boiler fire options?

Hi there,
We have a back boiler in the house we are currently in, in front of it is a very horrible gas fire. Liveable with, but not very nice. Looking around the only options for new fires seem to be £800+
With having a back boiler is my only option pay crazy money or put up with it?
Presume a real fire/log burner is out of the question due to the boiler being in the way
Anybody have a back boiler and a nice looking fire?
Thanks in advance

We had the same problem when we moved in to our house, plus I didn't trust it as safe either. The replacements were to my mind not much better looking that the original and I wasn't going to fork out lots for one. We replaced the boiler and fire during our renovations.0

Don't spend any money on it, you should be looking at replacing the back boiler its very inefficient then you can have anything you like in the fire place.0

Hi,
Rid the world of an open flued appliance and do yourself a favour too.
Put the money towards a new boiler and get the benefit of a sealed system that will circulate better than the open vented arrangement you now have.

The boiler is only 7 years old and others have said not to get rid of it as it should last another 20. Confused now

Any rough estimates for a replacement cost?He who laughs last, thinks slowest0 -
OK it may be one of the rare newer models what model is it exactly?0

Hi
Quite simple really .
If it grieves you that much then spend the money on a fire front.
Or don't and live with it.

SEBUK says its 76.8% Efficient an new gas boiler would be 90% but I would stick with what you have.0

You can only replace the firefront with another firefront approved by Baxi for use with that back boiler, as they're an integrated unit.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
