......The boyfriend is now a fiancee because he proposed yesterday!! I'm very excited that I can now come on this board properly without lurking around thinking wishfully!
I felt I had to tell people; even if I don't know them, as o/h doesn't want to tell anyone yet. He wants to ask my Dad first ( I know, he should have done that before asking me but my Dad is a !!!!!! to pin down and he needed my help!!) So he's going to ask my Dad and then we're going to tell parents and friends next week!!!!
Then I get to go ring shopping!!!! (I know I'm overusing the exclamation marks but hey, needs must when I can't even tell my best friend!!)
We're a little bit stumped here as neither of us know anything about jewellry. His budget is about £1000. After looking on the net I think I know what I'd like; a small round sapphire with a small diamond either side. We're thinking of going to Hatton Garden next week. Do you think we'll have much joy? Are people helpful? o/h is a bit worried he'll get ripped off as he's a bit naive on the shopping front.

Congratulations! The only way to avoid being ripped off is to look around everywhere you can for comparative prices, so you know what you want and what it should cost.0

Yay!!!!!:j:beer:
Great news for you!!
And what better time to over use exclamation marks than when you become engaged!!!0 -
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!Enjoy the over-use of exclamation marks, it's justified at this time

I have to say though, it would be KILLING me to not tell anyone - I'd barely got through the front door after my H2B proposed before phoning everyone I know! It'll be amazing when you do get to spread the news though :T
