Help - moving house, do I switch?

I have been looking at moving my energy supplier and have been reading some of the articles on the webiste today and would switch to a new tarif BUT we have sold our house and predict that we will be moving in around 2 months. Is it worth moving our supplier now and can we take the tarif with us to the new house if we switch (the house is in the same area)?
