The Government has published a consultation paper, “Local Decisions: A Fairer Future to Social Housing” , outlining its proposed reforms to social housing tenures and allocations.
The consultation date closes on 17 January 2011. The reforms will then be brought in through the Localism Bill .

The date for submitting responses is Monday 17 January 2011.
