Odd Pdf / Word problem

Im trying to edit a pdf file and it wont let me. Transferred it to a word doc and even having the same problem there. Its a cv so im just trying to take one bit out and add it somewhere else but it keeps doing it further down the screen.
Even if I try and add it without cut and paste it still wont accept it.

any ideas as this is a new problem for me

  • How did you "convert" it?

I suspect you may actually have embedded it, in which case it's still a pdf object or a graphic and essentially uneditable. To edit a pdf directly, you need something like Adobe Acrobat (the full program, not the reader). To convert a pdf to a Word document, you'd need to use an OCR program like Abbyy Finereader. Even the on-line format conversion sites do a poor job converting pdf to doc. Many pdf readers can extract text from a pdf, but all the formatting is lost and the process is painfully slow.

  • Most tools I've seen allow only very limited editing and can't reflow text if you want to add or delete a sentence or paragraph. Does eXpert PDF Pro 6 do this?
