PC World Frustation

Excuse typo, I mean "Frustration". Just wanted a rant really...
Ordered an Archos 101 tablet from PC World on Monday. Website said "Available for home delivery". Few hours later I got an email saying "We are now preparing your item from delivery, expected delivery 3 working days". Great I thought!
Anyway, appreciate its only Wednesday but I thought I would give them a call to see if I could get a better idea of the delivery date...apparently my order number is not recognised by their automated system! I go through to customer services only to be told the item is out of stock!
How frustrating! Why did their website state that there was stock available for home delivery when their clearly wasn't! Why did they send me an email saying expecting the item within 3 working days! GRRR!!
Now I can't get hold of one of these tablets anywhere so I guess they never had the stock in the first place! Why lie?! :mad: Looking on other forums doesn't appear I am on the only one with these problems, I think I will take my business else where in future!

They had taken the money but since I have now cancelled my order its say as pending on my account. They said it would take around 3-5 working days for the money to go back inSlimming World Target Achieved 13/09/12!0 -
It is frustrating but maybe their warehouse system did not keep the website database up to date with what was in stock. Bit like if you see a sign on a shop window offering something and go in and find its out of stock - though in that instances they wouldnt have your money but its the same thing.one of the famous 5

just dont use pcworld for anything other than parking in to go to one of the nearby shops

Got an email last night saying my order was on in way...very confused now. Just checked my account and they have taken the money!
This company is a total shambles. I would be happy that I was getting what I ordered but after being told it was out of stock and then my order cancelled I went else where!
