Developing tools for MSE

I am developing a website that you can add all of your purchases too, so you can keep track of what you have spent, where.
This was going to be for my own use, but i can see some people here maybe finding it useful.
At the moment the site works, but needs a few guys ironing out etc..
I've thought about a few things i could create that could help other sections too (like a database of the tesco misprice's!)
Would people use this?
Would i allowed to publicise this on MSE?
