Icy roads and garden walls

Hi All

I live in a rented student property and overnight 2 cars have been hit directly outside my house about a foot away from our garden wall.

During the day, it's unlikely there will be no cars to protect our garden wall :p so there's a chance it may get hit.

If it does who will be paying to fix it (Us/ the landlord/the person that hit it?/ Insurance? in which case whose)

It's been an eventful night to say the least!

Thanks

Let your landlord worry about this. If a cars skids into his garden wall, he will have to claim off the car driver's insurance, assuming the driver can be identified.

If any of you are in should it happen then do try to get the driver(s) details (after ensuring everyone is ok obviously), your LL would really appreciate it. Put a pad and pen near the door and keep a digital camera handy if possible. It would save a hell of a lot of hassle later.

it means that I agree with that post and have nothing further to add.

    For the love of god....

How old does the wall look? Do you think there's been previous times in its history when weather has been like this?
