Q1. Jan: Whilst promoting Figfour in France we had a massive dump of snow. What well loved utilitarian alpine car did we find under 4ft of snow? answer is 8 letters (5/3) no spaces ???????

Just a guess, but they are a well-loved (by someone i guess!!), utilitarian (whatever that means!), alpine car!! ;o)

There will be a new clue each day (not including weekends) from the 1st December up to and including the 17th December, that is 12 clues in total plus the bonus clue.

On the pdf crossword it seems to suggest the answer should be

_ _ _ _ _ / _ X _

as the X is already filled in for that answer, I can't think what it would be though? :huh:

Not sure of the answer but on the "Daring deeds" page there is an image of car buried in snow...so its probably a make of car unique to this area!!

This could be completely wrong but if you right-click on the image of the buried car here...

and check properties the name of the picture is "fiatpanda.jpg"

and the Fiat Panda is available in a 4x4 model

so the answer could be PANDA 4X4 ?
