Hi Bamsmushroom
45p is 45p more than you would have had if you had not transfered anything - Every penny counts
Keep up the great work

Just set up my first savings account - while I need to concentrate on clearing debts, I think it's good to start putting a teeny bit of savings away in the meantime. I don't want to fall back into the trap of sticking things on the credit card in emergenciesand it sets up good habits for the future
Well done holidayaholic :j
That is a great start - You can either use it as savings or by the end of the year use it to pay a chunk of your debt off, I think you will be surprised at how quickly it all adds up. :T
Keep up the good work

bamsmushroom big or small is good and you have made a great start.
I am sure many others on here will tell you the same and it all adds up to the same result you have saved. Keep saving.:D:D;)
Great Advice Footiemad - It all does add up and surprisingly quickly too!!I know exactly what you mean. I have debts to pay but with this thread and others I will save and I have saved more in the past few weeks than I have ever done before...so good for you.:T
Remember your not alone;) It can be tough but £9.69 is great for your first deposit.:T:D
As I have said to holidayaholic - You can use it as a savings buffer or at the end of the year pay a chunk off your debt.
Keep up the great work and keep saving - it does get addictive!
Plus everyone has the added bonus of being spurred on by everyone on this thread. :T

Do keep going folks & don't get disheartened. This month I've had 3 weeks where the amount I've put aside has been less than £1 but I've made myself keep smiling because it's still a few (:rotfl: ) pence that I've saved which I wouldn't have saved before. These things do add up as others have said. Keep at it and watch it grow! (And hopefully there'll be weeks soon when it's pounds and pence I can put in my VSP!!!).
Have a good day all!0 -

Hi all,
I found this part way through last year and made a mental note to join in when the new one started, however the mental note appears to have lost it's sticky and disappeared into the ether
I privately tried to do this when I saw it, but it didn't work all that well as I was pretty much continually in my overdraft, but according to my calculations (famous last words...) I should be completely out of it by the end of March.
Please can you join me up now? I'm planning on working out what it should have been and backdating it to 1st Dec so that I can keep up with you all
Will post later this evening with the total.
Thank you!::: Total Paid Since LBM (27/05/10): £4639.85 Official Debt Gone!! :T ::::AThat money talks, I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"~ VSP2011: #104 ~
