No Buying Toiletries in December Challenge

Hi all. Not had much of a chance to log on recently. Ended up getting my dandelion, benefit mascara and a lip gloss from Boots and got 750 in points for this. It a shame everything seems to run out at the same time and just before Christmas but that's always the way. I've been very good and have only been replacing things I have used up and am making a concious effort to buy cheaper shower gels etc. Hopefully no more major spends on make up for a few months. Enjoy your weekend!0

Not even Tara's buying it (sorry Tara
).
:rotfl:
Oh dear:D Did you get it with the points? I know you had loads of points. And have you used that massage cushion you got with the points? I might save points for one of those next year.
I didn't get one today but only because it was sold out by lunchtime. Was told to come back at 9am if I wanted one and I think I do. It's €30, that's only €3 per item. Wish I had points to pay for it with but I used them to get the big No7 Mirror.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
Well I am (hopefully) getting the OOTW for my Christmas. Droped a big enough hint last night by saying "I want that for my xmas but make sure you go first thing otherwise it will be sold out". Think he got the message.
A couple of blah UU, Simple roll on - found Avalon Organic Deodorant roll on in the stash so will move onto that. I think (but I am not sure) that I had tried this but discarded it a long time ago for being useless - but if so why didn't I toss out??? Hhmm will give it a go anyway and see.
Also another freebie perfum Neroli L'Occitane which I did not like. Far too overpowering. No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -
My son's ex-girlfriend was a baths not showers girl and I duly laid in various bottles of Radox bubble bath, which we have been left with now that she is no longer on the scene.
Yesterday I poured some of the Rooibos bubble bath on to my body puff to use instead of shower gel. It worked surprisingly well, the body puff held the liquid efficiently and I was able to scrub happily away with masses of bubbles as per usual.
This is available as a shower gel as well, but I've already got a lot of that. Every time I see Original Source down to £1 or less I get it as it I do prefer it, and it's been on offer in various places lately!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I did have a look at it online earlier and thought - NAH! I don't like the stuff so it would only have been used as a Christmas gift and it was tooexpensive for that.
Nice bath calling me tonight. Kids are at schools 1/2 mile from our house but both in opposite directions. Had calls to go and get them at 10.20 and can't get cars out . Whipped out to tell next door as I'm collecting hers since she had a c-section 3 weeks ago and popped across the road to tell the lady there not to try and get her 11month old baby out in the push chair as I would collect her son too. Went and got boys but as I was leaving, neighbour opened door to call that girls school had phoned to collect ASAP. I went and got boys (up hill) and brought them back home (down hill) then left DS with neighbour and went to get girls.
Lovely neighbour then made us all lunch. Spaghetti on toast, not had for years and it was yummy.
I think that I have earned my :A halo and wings for today.
6 inches though and we're 1 mile from the coast, BRRR!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Go and sit in the naughty corner then :rotfl:. What happened to not buying it if it wasn't reduced to £20? You're so funny!

Thanks for the tip - I will do that!0 -
boring UU in this house:
200 box of cotton buds - found another 3 boxes when delving in the huge toiletry box so don't need them again for a while, (they were chrissy pressies from OH last year - wheres the shrugging smilie when you need it?)
Nivea deodrant - not sure if i would get it again, i've been suffering from razor rash under my arms for a while and i'm wondering if this deodrant has irritated it further.0 -
Hi everyone. I haven't posted so far this month and have failed in sticking to the challenge, but am finding it difficult to feel to guilty about my lovely new goodies. I bought two body shop almond hand care gift sets a couple of weeks ago and that same weekend the QVC Elemis TSV. I'd recently started using the almond oil hand rescue treatment and love it, and the sets were good value with 30% off. Had never used Elemis or ordered from QVC but was seduced by the offer posted on the grabbit board.
I have been good and resisted the S&G OOTW, but may buy the pamper proof set and and hand wash/cream set with points in the 50% sale. I'll join the naughty corner.:)
Hope everyone is warm and safe, this evening its suddenly snowed quite heavily here and the hospital security have just been round looking for beds for stranded staff.0
