HSBC Faster Payments?

I've just tried to send a payment from an HSBC bank account via internet banking, and got the following message:
The money is in the bank account, and is going to a Halifax account. I've done this since last year, and the payment has always gone through instantly - I can send the payment, log out of HSBC internet banking and into Halifax internet banking, and the money is there.
When I clicked send, the payment hasn't gone (as expected).
Has HSBC changed anything? The only other thing I've done in internet banking is pay my credit card bill today, but that was just over £100, nowhere near the £10,000 limit that HSBC have in place.
Any ideas?
Do you still want to send the payment? If you still want us to send the payment, it won't be sent until tomorrow. Click Send to continue or Cancel to return to My Accounts. (H55)

Sometimes HSBC do maintenance on their site due to a problem. However they can't be bothered to tell their customers or even put a warning notice like other banks on their online banking.
I've had problems happen to me twice in the last year and when I've complained that's what their answer has been.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

I have tried to FEP to my Halifax account this evening from HSBC and got the same message. I rang telephone banking and was told it was due to maintenance, however what the guy i spoke to failed to understand was the fact that i tried to FEP halifax and got the next day message, tested a FEP to my Abbey account which went immediately then did another FEP to halifax which again said that it would go tomorrow....maintenance my bumcheeks, somethings afoot!
Customer services were useless. Waste of credit ringing them.0 -
