DVD region question

Hi to all,

Not quite sure where to post this but anyway.....

I was about to buy Scrub Season 2 from CD-WOW but can anyone explain why "Scrubs Season 2 - Region 2" is £25 and "Scrubs Season 2 - Region 2 & 4" is £12.99??
Anyone know why there is a difference in price for what appears to be the same thing? Just want to be COMPLETELY sure before I purchase!

Thanks in advance :D

should be the same, though could be playing time differences as might be slightly different edits. The real difference in the cost is probably where the DVDs are sourced from.

Region 4 is Auz, NZ and Latin America, inc Mexico. It is possible there is some different content, or perhaps some different subtitle or language dubbing options, e.g Mexican which are not available on the Region 2 only disk which is intended for Europe.

It is almost impossible to say whether they will be identical without seeing a detailed tracklisting for both. You will have no problem playing the Region2/4 on your Region 2 machine.

My experience with CD-WOW is that they are quite good at taking returns if you haven't actually opened the item.

There are websites out there that list differences between different versions and regions releases of the same material. Whilst a lot of differences can be the minor ones that others have mentioned some are much more substancial (to film buffs anyway) that the recording is at a lower bit rate (normally just sound but image as well in some cases as well) so lower quality watching.

If you do a google you should find a site or two that does this for you. It could be they are identicle and it is simply a sourcing "issue" that causes the price difference
