Just thought I would share this with you. I had a fraudulent transaction on my account on the 11th October and reported it to the bank a day later.
The first set of forms never made it to me.
Then they very helpfully sent through a new visa debit card with the pin number in the same days post. (helpful seeing as a debit card fraud instigated the cancellation of the old and sending of the new card.)
A day later my form turned up. On querying what I needed to do I was told that I had to get a crime number from the police. (I wasn't told that the first time)
I dutifully then spent an hour on the phone to the police which I could have really done in the 3 days that I was waiting for my form to turn up (oh no, we can't fax it madam and no, you can't fax it back to us. Cos that would speed up the process by about 2 days)
I then sent the form to them last week.
Today I spent the best part of half an hour being given 4 different numbers by the woolwich of who to talk to to chase up my cash. The last number led me back to the first number.
I asked again "when will I get my money back"
"Well if I can process this in the right time and quickly enough then you should get it back by friday."
It is the last week of the month and they cannot even give me an assurance of when I will get my mullah back. The amount is £280 odd. Pretty useless to the average MSE wouldn't you think?
