i ordered the kensingtons, but can't find any info about how far they come up the leg. Are they as tall as tall uggs? They look as though they are between the short and the tall.
I really hope they fit, I have already returned two pairs of knitted ones as even when I got the size right, I just found them too sloppy. Have never before spent so much on one item for me, so they need to be right. fingers crossed, I wish they would arrive so I know whether to be delighted or disappointed!!0 -

Wore them yesterday in the snow, my feet were lovely and toasty and dry:T

So why open an ugg thread and post that 'uggs are for mugs'. At the very least its quite rude to those who are excited about ordering them.
Of course there are many other brands of sheepskin boot out there, and many are cheaper than Decker uggs. If people prefer them then great, but I bet there are some like me who want sheepskin boots and aesthically prefer look of the UA brand. Nothing to do with brand names which I'm sure will displease people who are obsessed with thinking that it is:cool:
Thanks for posting OP, I can't justify another pair atm though as the 3 I have are all still going strong. But they do look lovely and will def be my next ugg purchase.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

According to the UA site the approximate boot shaft height is 10" (25.4 cm). The classic short is 7 3/4" and the tall is 11 3/4" so the kensington is midway between the two.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
I have the Kensingtons and I am feeling like a bit of a twit today.
I paid £225 for them from Schuh and I justified the price to myself by saying I never wanted to go through a winter like last year without good quality boots.
Well...
we've had 12" of snow in the past 3 days, which I smugly thought would be no problem for me and my super expensive boots, alas, they have leaked. My feet were pretty damp today, and I am devastated.
I can't bear the thought of telling my other half that I'm now going to have to buy myself boots that will keep my feet dry
Don't get me wrong, when it's dry and cold they are amazing, but then so are regular Uggs at a fraction of the cost.
I suppose what I'm trying to say is, if you're going to be exposed to the elements a lot don't buy these thinking they'll keep your feet dry. They won't.

Did you treat them with the UGG protector? I found that it helped even my suede UGGs to stay waterproof

No, unfortunately I didn't, I naively thought leather boots with that sort of price tag would be waterproof.:oDid you treat them with the UGG protector? I found that it helped even my suede UGGs to stay waterproof
Is it too late now, or do you think I could salvage them to wear in the rain/snow?Come ride with me, through the veins of history...
