We made an insurance claim for a kitchen floor. The IC contractor replaced the floor whilst we were on holiday. We weren't happy with the work - it's liveable but not what we wanted (ie poor finish, dark grout instead of light grout, floor not very level etc).
Insurance company has offered us £1500 cash settlement or they will get a new contractor to remove and replace the floor and guarantee it for 2 years.
Though the money would be a help I'd also like to be happy with the work.
Which would you go for?
