I posted on your other thread that smile might be a good one to consider.

    A. Possibly a case of wine in it.
B About 3%. Savings account is 4.25% if you have a current account.
C 4%, 4.75% if you have a current account too. (I switched mine to A&L)
    D I find it easy.

I think you're a little optimistic thinking that one call will do it all. Obviously you have to apply, probably send proof of identity, set up your personal security details. Can't make an omelette without breaking eggs!

I chose to deal with my standing orders and direct debits myself so I was in control. I just cancelled the old ones after they were paid, then set up the new ones either on the phone or through the online banking. Transfers between smile accounts are instant.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

What is the point in having your ISA and your current account with the same bank?
  • its just easy to keep track of things only having ( as i do a halifax CA, and a Barclays CA, E-SAINGS & ISA)
i like nice and tidy, thats proberbly my downfall!!!

If you like 'nice and tidy', forget about switching. Best rates don't last long, and you will never get all the best products from one bank. IMHO, the best rate on ISA is more important than the best rate on current account...
