Car Insurance Claim

Cancelling a claim means she is not to claim on the insurance for repairs if full comp cover. Just pay for the repair if cheaper than price of car or sort out a cash amount and pay her for the value of the car.0

Withdrawing it, saying you dont want to claim which if you only have TPF&T will automatically happen anyway because you can't claim for your own damage.0 -

A good replacement car would be less than £500. Personally, I wouldn't bother telling the insurance company (yes I know you should). If you have the money to replace the car, just do it.Je suis sabot...0

If you withdraw the claim, as previously posted, as long as all the insurers costs so far (if any) are reimbursed to them, then her NCD is unaffected.
Whatever happens regarding claiming or not claiming, your NCD (if you have any on another policy of your own) is unaffected.
You/she are supposed to declare the incident to future insurers and that means that future premiums may be loaded.
Up to now, has the insurer been informed by anyone (who is paying the storage charge for wherever it was towed to, and who paid for the tow?). If the insurer knows about this, then you will have to declare this incident in future as it will be recorded as an incident whether or not a claim follows.0 -

No, will phone insurance firm in about an hour when I get in.
Thinking I'll try the withdrawal thing, pay the storage (tow was I think fully free from RAC) and buy her a new car. I'll take the NCD hit as it was my fault.
Next question. 26 yr oldale, 2yrs NCD writes off £600 car and invites £100 in storage fees. When/if I get a car, what %etc will my premium go up by?The campaign against overpowering signatures0 -
Why not get a few 'dummy' online quotes with and without accident?0

Your NCD are unaffected, you will still have whatever no claims you had previously.0
