You don't take people to lunch to sack them. He wants to persuade you for/of something.

def NO chemistry!! LOL! he is 40 years older than me!!

yeah am at work now - im on tenterhooks too!!

Relax, every time I've been given bad news (and its been a few times) its never at lunch...
  • Maybe he wants to discuss the disproportionate amount of work-time you spend on here... :p Or is that just me?:D

If he was going to sack you or discipline you he'd do it by the book in his office so that there could be no chance of recriminations.

More likely he wants to ask a favour, or possibly even ask you out on a date... Is he single? Are you single? And if so, is he either very good looking or rich? :D

Please tell us what it is 'cos I'm dying to know now!

If you're not interested ask him what he's willing to pay coz I might be! :p;)
  • he is here now, so its hard to ask him what it is about! he asked me where i fancy going and i said i dont mind - he can chose, so he has chose a posh-ish bar near our office.

Ooh loopylou - don't be scared. Like other posters have said, it could be a promotion or even special projects on the horizon.... fingers crossed for you and let us all know how you do!:j
What I'd do is go to lunch, soon as you get in the door ask outright `are you sacking me?' if he says yes order several of the most expensive things on the menu and throw it over his head and if no, still order all the expensive things anyway!:rotfl:
    Good luck lovely!
