Some of you may have seen the advertisements on TV claiming that they will beat any quote, they will not. My usual company Letsure quoted £130, Direct Line came in with an eye watering £454. I asked them if they would beat Letsure's price, they declined and refered me to their terms and conditions. One of them stated "minimum premium applies".
In other words, they will only beat your existing quote if they can make a profit!

Letsures cover is nowhere near as good as Direct Lines, and of course they will only do business with you if they can make a profit.0

But you miss the point, I do not want ***** premium grade A supercover, I want simple landlords' content insurance, the rest is covered elsewhere. In any case the cover quoted by Direct Line was INFERIOR to that offered by Letsure.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

I believe their offer states that they will beat any price for the same cover. I strongly suggest that DL's cover would be better.0
