laptop beeping when unplugged - full battery

my laptop starts beeping within about 5 minutes of unplugging it, even when its fully charged :mad: Have looked at settings in control panel, power options but cant seem to find why it keeps beeping everytime its unplugged

any ideas?

    It depends on make and model, but some laptops have a "calibrate battery" option in the BIOS setup utility, and this needs to be run occasionally so that it can accurately track the battery status.

    its a Lenovo laptop, just over a year old... and ideas where i'd find the calibrate option?

    In the Bios often the last screen or under power settings .
    Hit Delete or F2 at boot to enter Bios .
