I'm sure this question has been asked many times before but having read reviews from the likes of Trusted Reviews etc saying that while they are ok, they are more acidic than the Manufacturers ink and could cause print head damage. Yet consumer reviews say that compatible inks are fine if you find a decent supplier.
I have also read that some do not come with the chips and that you have to manually remove the chips from the original and attach it via blu tack or such like.
I have a Canon MP560 all-in-one that is only 3 months old and don't really want to damage it. so any advice is most welcome.
Thanks

It is a product that can be as good as or a whole lot worse than and all the ranges in between .

Yes if you have chipped cartridges .
Research is all you can do and try varying types . JetTec and Swiss Ink are the ones i use but print that little i could not give a valid opinion as the ink usually dries up before i print anything no matter what brand .
I would in the first instance see how cheap you can but the proper ink for .

Can't help you with the technicalities, but I have a Canon Pixma all-in-one and have been using 'Peach Snap 'n' Print' cartridges for the past year with no problems, black and colour. They are much cheaper and have a greater capacity too, so last much longer. I believe they are Swiss made?
You can find them on eBay and other cartridge shops. Hope this helps!0 -
I've been using the Inkrite ones that 7dayshop sell for £3-£3.50 for a while in my Canon Pixma, and so far no problems.0

Thank you everyone. I shall give them a go, I suppose as the print heads are removeable I can always buy new ones if they are damaged.
Many thanks again.Always get a Qualified opinion - My qualifications are that I am OLD and GRUMPY:p:p0
