Considering borrowing a friends car rather than renting.
Don't have my own car insurance so can't use that.
Can anyone recommend a cheap insurer for 24hr cover?
Thanks

Google "Day Insurance"
There's Compare the Market listed on the Google search which searches for the cheapest day insurance. The man without a signature.0 -
Thanks, tried Google first.
Wondered if anyone on this massive site has experience of certain companies or knows of any special offers/deals available.
Thanks anyway.0 -
Ask your friend to call his own insurers and see how much it will be to add you as a named driver. I had the same situation a couple of years ago, my friend wanted to borrow my car. Cost me £10 to add him as a named driver for a week. Obviously it will depend on your "risk" as perceived by the insurance company, but it can be a cheap ( and completely legit ! ) way of doing it.0

This can be fine, but if there is a claim then the friend who's car it is will lose NCB and or pay higher premiums in the future so I would still consider the day insurance.0
