Hi everyone,
I was wondering whether anyone has spotted any stores still selling nativity costumes, specifically angel costumes for my two boys aged 3 and 5, they have both been picked as angels in their pre-school/school shows and due to having the flu over the last week I haven't had chance to make anything.:o
Any recent spots of angel costumes will be very gratefully received.
Thanks, newbienortherner

Try the big supermarkets:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

If you have a Boyes store near by they were selling nativity costumes off pretty cheap.

My girl was given a large mans t-shirt which had been fringed at the bottom. They asked that we added some tinsel and a piece of tinsel to use as a belt. Cheap as chips!Debt free as of July 2010 :j

Hi
White shirts long enough to nget close to the ground, slit the arms and tie one side to their wrists (wings). Add tinsel belts and haloes. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Saw something in Home Bargains the other day. All those kinds of stores have something for kids at the moment.0

I suspect that all the ready made angel costumes in the shops will be designed for girls, which while your 3 yo may not care I suspect the 5yo will.
I'd go with the large man's t-shirt (cheap as chip from tesco), with a tinsel belt, tin foil on cardboard wings (or look for fairy wings in the shops and add some tinsel) plus a tinsel halo pinned on with some hair clips.
Good luck.0 -
I'm sure I've seen lots of nativity costumes in my local (big) Sainsbury's, including angels. Have not checked whether they are unisex though as we don't need any.0

Tesco and Asda have them for about £8, I got one from Asda for my DD, they are quite girly. You could make one from a white pillowcase, just cut holes for head and arms and attach tinsel to the top and bottom and an extra bit of tinsel to wear on their heads, this was what the school suggested if you didn't want to buy one.0

What I'd do for little boys is get a plain white pillow case, cut a hole for the head and one for each arm. Add a tinsel 'belt' and halo! Been doing this for nursery/ reception kids for years! V cute!
ETA- sorry- repeated above! Am a wooden top!0
