I have a motorbike thats taxed and insured,the bikes first mot is due on 4th dec.I have no plans to use the bike until the weather gets a little warmer.Rather than go through the sorn thing can I just not use it on public roads until say march then book it in for a mot then.Or will I get a letter from dvla and a fine if i just dont mot it and keep it in my garage

As long as its taxed you don't need to sorn it. If the tax runs out before March when you are going to start using the bike again you will have to sorn it. As you need the mot to tax it, if the tax runs out before you mot it you wont be able to re tax it so would have to sorn it then.0
